Raised in the vibrant landscape of South Florida, she embarked on her academic journey at Florida International University and later pursued advanced studies at Columbia College of Chicago.
Mimi specializes in offering compassionate care to individuals who have undergone severe trauma, battled eating disorders, and faced substance abuse challenges. Operating in private practice, academic, and community settings, Mimi is a versatile professional committed to fostering healing and growth.
Mimi has integrated her expertise into school environments with a dedication to fostering resilience and positive mental health in educational spaces creating a nurturing and supportive atmosphere for students to thrive. Mimi facilitates empowering social-emotional support groups for students and supports school behavioral health teams through consultation and training, ensuring a holistic approach to students' well-being.
Mimi passionately advocates for the transformative power of healing-centered practices, arts integration, and social-emotional learning, offering training to professionals and youth across the city. As a consultant with The Praxis Institute, Mimi provides professional development for community stakeholders and direct service to youth.

Rosalind is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist in Private Practice providing services for individuals, families, and communities in the Chicagoland area. Rosalind believes that the integration of the mind, body, and spirit is an essential part of the healing process. She utilizes a combination of traditional talk-therapy, somatic work, and creative arts interventions to both illuminate and concretize a path towards healing. Her approach to treatment is trauma informed, client centered, and layered with an empowerment framework.

Jessica Juarez M.Ed, LPC, NCC

Jessica is a licensed professional counselor, visual artist, and the founder of Kindred, LLC and co-founder of The Praxis Institute. With over 20 years of experience in working with youth, schools, and communities, Jessica has dedicated her career to fostering connection, learning and supporting the community in their journey towards healing and overall well-being. She holds an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University and an M.Ed. in Educational Psychology- Youth Development from UIC. Additionally, she is certified in Community Justice for Youth and Balanced and Restorative Justice peace circles and holds a Mediation Skills Certificate from the Center for Conflict Resolution. Jessica draws from a variety of modalities in her approach to counseling, including holistic practices, arts, identity and culture, social-emotional learning, transformative rituals, and liberation psychology. She believes in the power of multicultural collaborations and is dedicated to providing culturally responsive support, honoring and celebrating multiple identities, cultural values, and beliefs through the integration of arts and healing. As an artist, Jessica graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a BFA and believes that the process of creating art is just as important as the final product. She also believes that art can be a catalyst for healing, both for the individual and for the collective.
